TubeBuddy is a partner with YouTube. We use their API to make a lot of what is possible in TubeBuddy... well... possible!
YouTube has a document that shows what they allow us to do with their API:
https://developers.google.com/youtube/terms/developer-policies-guide
In order to make sure TubeBuddy and other partners are using the YouTube API correctly, YouTube gives brands what is called a "YouTube API Compliance Audit."
This is where YouTube audits TubeBuddy to make sure using our tools won't get you in trouble. It's a way for keeping all of their partners and our users safe.
Sometimes in an audit, YouTube asks us to make changes. DO NOT WORRY! This is normal and a part of the process. Most of these changes are minor, such as renaming a feature so it's more clear.
You can check in TubeBuddy Patch Notes for what changes we have made in general, or due to YouTube API Compliance.
