Summary:
The Summary tab is the default view of Keyword Explorer when you first open the tool. Here you’ll find the keyword scores, related searches and much more:
Overall Score - Depending on your TubeBuddy license, you can toggle between Weighted vs Unweighted scores:
- Weighted: Score for how good this keyword is to target for your specific channel, based on search volume, competition, relevancy, and how you compare to others currently ranking in search (Pro license needed).
- Unweighted: Score for how good this keyword is to target, based on search volume and competition.
Score Analysis - the keyword score is broken down into the following categories:
- Search Volume: Estimated volume of searches made for the topic including the target keywords.
- Weighted Score: How effective is this keyword for your specific channel, considering factors like search volume, competition, relevance, and how your content compares to others currently ranking in search results (Pro license or above needed).
- Unweighted Score: Score for how good this keyword is to target, based on search volume and competition.
- Weighted Competition: Weighted competition is tailored specifically to your channel. This metric shows how competitive the keyword you’ve entered is. A lower or poor ranking suggests that the competition is intense, and it may take some time before your content appears in search results (Pro license needed).
- Unweighted Competition: Indicates a more generalized competition score at a global level.
- Optimization Strength: Highlights opportunities for optimizing your video. It suggests that many existing videos haven’t been well-optimized; if you optimize your content effectively, your video has a higher chance of being favored by the algorithm.
- Monthly Search Estimate: The estimated number of global searches for the target keyword. This is just an estimated number, so actual numbers might be different.
- Videos in Search Results: The total number of videos available on the YouTube platform with similar or the exact keyword.
-
You vs Top Ranked Videos: Estimated average number of views that you need to have for your targeted keyword to enter the competition.
